We are all faced with difficult and overwhelming challenges in life. Through therapy, Kristin works to foster a sense of acceptance, self-awareness, and self-compassion, offering client's support and appropriate challenge as she walks with her clients to address these difficult experiences. Kristin feels equipped to work with a wide array of issues, feeling as though no concern is too big or too small to seek help. Kristin is a licensed clinical psychologist that obtained her professional degree from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL.
Formally trained as a generalist, Kristin finds that she works from an integrative lens, naturally leaning towards a client-centered, strengths-based perspective. Often, Kristin likes to incorporate aspects of Interpersonal Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy. Mindfulness, self-compassion, and appropriate challenge are often integrated into her work, assisting individuals to live in accordance with their values, obtain a sense of life meaning and purpose, and develop a greater understanding of their own life narrative.
Kristin has a strong interest in holistic approaches to therapy. Recently trained as a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Professional, she tends to view each client through a holistic lens. Kristin understands mental health is also focusing on brain health. Therefore, working with Kristin as a means of managing mental health concerns will include exploring nutrition, supplementation, sleep, exercise, stress management, and social connection. While staying within her scope of knowledge, she will encourage you to integrate some of these lifestyle factors when establishing goals for treatment and is open to collaborating with your healthcare provider to facilitate progress.
Currently, Kristin is seeing clients age 18 and above and only online via telehealth.
